Shannon was a volunteer with great stature behind her. She was highly educated and was capable of using her education creatively for a variety of purposes. She had the marvelous ability to assess the quality of anything under the sun. Her comments were well balanced and down to earth. She was soft like a small child but at work she showed a great scholarly character.
