Horizon Lanka was involved in the following projects since its inception. Horizon Lanka thanks all those who assisted to make these projects successful.

1. Launching of Horizon handwritten journal in 1998 with the students of Saliyamala Public School
2. Completing the first computer lab with the local donors and Diaspora help by 2004
3. Getting 24/7 Internet access to Horizon Lanka with the Diaspora and foreign donor help in 2004 at a time the village did not have even telephone access
4. Getting mobile phone coverage with Dialog Telekom’s support to cover a 50-meter radius around Horizon Lanka in 2004
5. Getting a grant worth 40,000+ USD to buy the electronic, IT and sports equipment to Horizon Lanka by 2005 from Geneva Global
6. Getting around 50 used PCs to the students in Mahavilachchiya through Horizon Lanka’s Digital Butterflies Project http://digitalbutterflies.wordpress.com which is bringing PCs to the homes of the villagers of Mahavilachchiya by 2006
7. Installing Sri Lanka’s first mesh Internet project in Mahavilachchiya with the help of UNDP and Enterprise Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Sri Lanka to provide internet access to 28 households and two public schools in November 2006
8. Getting Dialog Telekom to cover Mahavilachchiya with their mobile network in 2006 December.
